Happy Bearthday to tha ancestor! Damn near everybody and they momma momma MOMMA know who Bob Marley is! But did his music impact you? Have you ever dipped back in time and checked out some of his albums like Uprising, Survival, Babylon by Bus or African Herbsman? I ask this because if you ever listened to songs like “Zion Train” that line “2000 years of history” really makes you interested in what he’s talking about and makes you question what you’ve been exposed to in American to the point where your looking for that 2000 years of history yourself. Go head’ dip back in time, check out Bob’s discography, there is much to be learned through his music as well as the positive vibe that will take over your spirit. One of my favorites that I play on the regular is “Zimbabwe”. What’s your favorite tune by Bob besides “Can you be Loved” or “I shot the sheriff”?

If you #vibe with @bobmarley but aren’t aware of any other great #reggae artist then press play. At one point I myself got tired of hearing the same popular artist’s and branched off to #reggae. What I call #gospelmusic cuz in church they defined it as the “good word”, the word of the truth!!!
#shoutouts 2 my #caribbean #island family that put me up on the blessed #reggae music
It’s a lotta shit goin down right now, more and more is coming out the dark and the truth is in your face. Take a deep breath and listen to what I know as “gospel” meaning that *preacher voice* GOOD WORD!!! according to the pastor in one of them church’s I used to go to. That Marley always light that fire and cool you off at the same time especially if you got the blessed herb to complement them good vibes in your ear.

All n all u see a gwan*going* is the fight against the rasta man
So they build their world n great confusion
To force on us the devils
But the stone that the builder refuse
Shall be the head cornerstone,
And no matter what game they play,
Eh, we got something they could never take away;
We got something they could never take away:
And it’s the fire (fire), it’s the fire (fire)
That’s burning down everything:
Feel that fire (fire), the fire (fire);
Only the birds have their wings, yeah!
No time to be deceived.

Twenty-seven years ago, as Emperor of Ethiopia, I mounted the rostrum in Geneva, Switzerland, to address the League of Nations and to appeal for relief from the destruction which had been unleashed against my defenseless nation, by the Fascist invader. I spoke then both to and for the conscience of the world. My words went unheeded, but history testifies to the accuracy of the warning that I gave in 1936.
Today, I stand before the world organization which has succeeded to the mantle discarded by its discredited predecessor. In this body is enshrined the principle of collective security which I unsuccessfully invoked at Geneva. Here, in this Assembly, reposes the best – perhaps the last – hope for the peaceful survival of mankind.
In 1936, I declared that it was not the Covenant of the League that was at stake, but international morality. Undertakings, I said then, are of little worth if the will to keep them is lacking. The Charter of the United Nations expresses the noblest aspirations of man: abjuration of force in the settlement of disputes between states; the assurance of human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion; the safeguarding of international peace and security.
But these, too, as were the phrases o Continue reading
